About this property
Pipers Bench is a detached house in the middle of Thurlestone, about ten minutes' walk from the sea, with big picture windows giving views of the Bantham estuary and Burgh Island.
The ground floor of the main house is open-plan across its full width, with a large dining table, a log burner and French doors to the terrace, and there's a second sitting room with its own log burner and a desk. The annex, through a door off the kitchen area, has a bedroom and bathroom downstairs and its own first-floor living room and kitchen; the listing says it suits at most three adults.
Outside, a terrace runs the width of the house with outdoor sofas, a large egg barbecue and a wood burner, and a step leads down to an enclosed lawn with sea views. The Village Inn and the village shop are about five minutes' walk away, Kingsbridge is 10 minutes' drive and Salcombe 15.
Five bedrooms in the main house sleep up to 12; the annex, reached through a door in the kitchen area, sleeps four, and suits at most three adults.
