1. Who we are
Flock ("we", "us", "our") operates two related services: joinmyflock.com (a group accommodation aggregator) and app.joinmyflock.com (a group trip planning tool). By using either service, you agree to these Terms of Service.
If you don't agree with these terms, please don't use the service.
2. What Flock does
joinmyflock.com helps you find places to stay for group trips in the UK. Listings come from third-party providers, and bookings happen on those providers' sites - we don't take payments or handle the booking ourselves. If any links on joinmyflock.com are affiliate links, we may earn a commission when you book through them. This doesn't change the price you pay.
app.joinmyflock.com is a group trip planning tool. It helps groups organise trips - coordinating dates, collecting preferences, managing decisions, and keeping things moving. We don't book travel, process payments on your behalf, or act as a travel agent.
3. Your account
To use the Flock trip planning app at app.joinmyflock.com, you'll need to create an account. The accommodation aggregator at joinmyflock.com can be used without an account.
You can sign in using Google or Apple authentication, or with an email and password.
You're responsible for:
- Keeping your account credentials secure
- All activity that happens under your account
- Ensuring the information you provide is accurate
You must be at least 18 years old to create a Flock account.
4. Acceptable use
You agree to use Flock only for its intended purpose - organising group trips and finding group accommodation. You must not:
- Use Flock for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to access other users' accounts or data
- Upload or share content that is harmful, offensive, or violates anyone's rights
- Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or interfere with the service or the accommodation listings
- Use Flock to send spam or unsolicited messages to other users
5. Your content
When you add trip details, messages, or other content to the Flock app, you retain ownership of that content. By using the app, you grant us a limited licence to store and display your content in order to provide the service.
We don't sell your content to third parties.
6. Google and Apple sign-in
If you use Google or Apple to sign in to the app, you're also subject to their respective terms of service. We receive basic profile information (name and email address) from these providers to create and manage your account. We don't receive your passwords.
7. Privacy
How we handle your personal data is set out in our Privacy Policy. By using Flock, you agree to our collection and use of data as described there.
8. Service availability
We aim to keep Flock available and working well, but we can't guarantee uninterrupted access. We may occasionally need to take the service offline for maintenance or updates. We're not liable for any disruption to the service.
Listings on joinmyflock.com come from third-party sources. We try to keep this information current, but we can't guarantee specific details like price or availability are correct at any moment. Always confirm with the provider before booking.
Flock is provided "as is". While we work hard to make it reliable, we make no warranties about its suitability for any particular purpose.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Flock is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. This includes (but is not limited to) any issues arising from trip planning decisions made using the app, or any issues arising from accommodation booked via links from joinmyflock.com.
For the aggregator: we're not part of any transaction between you and a third-party provider. We can't guarantee the accuracy of listings or the service provided by any third party. Any issues with a specific booking, payment, refund, or stay should be raised directly with the provider you booked through.
Our total liability to you for any claim will not exceed the amount you've paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (which, if you're using free services, is £0).
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we'll update the date at the top of this page. If the changes are significant, we'll let you know by email or in the app. Continuing to use Flock after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms.
11. Termination
You can stop using Flock and delete your account at any time. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with or without notice.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
