About this property
Hope Lodge sits on the South Devon Coast Path, looking across Thurlestone Sands to Thurlestone Rock, about 200 metres from the beach. Its seven bedrooms are spread over three floors in three separate parts of the house, so one part can be kept a little more private.
Downstairs, an open-plan room with a central fireplace serves the lounge and a dining area seating up to 16, beside a kitchen with an island looking out to sea. On the first floor, a sitting room runs across the front of the house, with a large table, books and games, and a balcony over the sands.
The garden wraps around the house, with a raised deck, a large level lawn set up for badminton and croquet, and an outdoor shower for washing off sand. A hot tub in a private part of the garden can be added for an extra charge. Thurlestone's golf links and tennis courts are 200 metres away.
