Dorset Eco Retreats

Dorset Eco Retreats is three single-storey eco homes on a working farm in North Dorset, booked together for up to 16, with views towards Bulbarrow and the Blackmore Vale. Bracken and Fern sleep six each and Bramble four, so each household gets its own space and there's still the option of coming together.

Each one is open plan, with a kitchen, a dining area and a sitting room with a wood-burning stove and bi-fold doors onto a terrace, and a ground source heat pump runs underfloor heating throughout. All eight bedrooms have their own en suite, and one of Bramble's has a copper freestanding bath.

Every retreat has its own garden with long rural views and its own wood-fired hot tub, and a barbecue comes out in the summer months.

The Wessex Ridgeway passes the door, and Ansty, with its farm shop, post office and The Fox Inn, is about 15 minutes' walk down a quiet lane and across a bridleway. The coast is about 35 minutes by car, and the local recommendation is Ringstead Bay's pebble beach.
