About this property
Augill Castle is a Victorian folly built in 1841 between the Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District, and the owners' family home since 1997. Booked for exclusive use, the castle and its grounds are your group's own, and breakfast for everyone staying is included, with dinner Wednesday to Saturday as standard. It suits family get-togethers, milestone birthdays, anniversaries, reunions and weekends with friends, and hen and stag groups are welcome.
Its eleven bedrooms and garden suites sleep up to 24, from four-poster castle bedrooms with turret wardrobes to garden suites with their own sitting rooms.
Fires are lit in the shared rooms, there is a Music Room, a drawing room with a big screen and a conservatory bar, and outside there are fifteen acres and a tennis court. It is a real countryside setting, with livestock in the fields around and the castle's own animals on site.
