West Acre was built as a family home in the village of Wistow, near Selby and about 13 miles from York, and now sleeps 14 adults in seven themed bedrooms, with room for two more children in the family room.
The kitchen opens onto a dining room whose oak table seats up to 16 and flips over into a full-size pool table. There is a lounge with a log burner, a snug with games consoles and a separate cinema room.
Upstairs, a private terrace facing south-west has a six-seat hot tub, with a sauna just inside. The garden runs to just over an acre, with a patio, a barbecue, a thatched African hut, a play area and table tennis.
A lift serves both floors, the ground floor is step-free and one bedroom has an accessible en-suite.

- Groups: Built for family and friends celebrations, including multi-generational groups. No hen or stag groups.
- Lead guest: The lead guest must be over 18.
House rules
- Check-in: From 4pm.
- Check-out: By 10am.
- Quiet hours: Keep outside noise to a minimum after 10pm.
- Noise: No music or games outside after 10pm, and windows closed if there's music inside. There are neighbours close by.
- Pets: Up to four dogs (more on request), £20 per dog, agreed when you book. Not upstairs or on the beds.
- Hot tub and pool: The hot tub and sauna are used only after the owners' welcome meeting.
- Visitors: Reasonable numbers of day visitors are fine if you let the owners know; no extra overnight guests.
- No fireworks, fire pits, portable barbecues or Chinese lanterns.
- Outside caterers, chefs and entertainers need the owners' written approval first.
