About this stay

Little Halt is a charming 17 th century thatched cottage overlooking Pound Green, located within the surrounding area of Freshwater on the Isle of Wight. Set in peaceful surroundings, there is ample space for sleeping up to 11 guests in five bedrooms.

Full of character and charm, Little Halt is a detached Grade II listed cottage dating back to the late 1600s, close to Yarmouth and Freshwater Bay. With a traditional country house feel, this charming property has been renovated to a high standard whilst keeping the original features (watch out for the low ceilings as they may take you by surprise! ).

The cottage has a light and spacious sitting room, furnished with sofas and chairs, a television with Freeview and DVD player along with french doors opening onto the patio. The snug has more comfy seating, a sofa bed and a step up to a cosy area with a second television with DVD and video player, a perfect place for children to relax and play.

The open-plan dining area adjoins the galley style kitchen with doors leading into the garden. The kitchen and utility area are well-equipped with all the appliances required for a home away from home and a useful shower room is also located on the ground floor.

The cottage has two staircases leading up to the bedrooms. The first takes you to a double and a twin bedroom; and the second staircase from the sitting room leads up to two double bedrooms and a spacious triple bedroom with three single beds. Bedroom two, a double also enjoys its own en-suite shower room.

Outside, beautiful gardens await; at the front of the cottage is a lawned garden with a pretty white picket fence, and to the rear, a very large lawned garden with a patio area and garden furniture including sun loungers for al-fresco dining and relaxing in the sunshine.
