About this property
Little Cottage began as a 15th-century fisherman's cottage above Praa Sands and was designed by the architect Alex Michaelis. Only the garden separates it from the beach, and a short path at the bottom of the lawn leads down to the sand.
The open-plan living space has floor-to-ceiling windows, two large sofas and a wood burner, with a modern kitchen and a table for 10 looking out to sea. A TV den doubles as a games room, and a door off the first-floor landing opens onto a decked terrace.
Outside there's a large patio with a fire pit, a hot tub to the side of the house, a trampoline, a tree house and a covered ping pong table. The South West Coast Path runs close by towards Marazion and Porthleven, and St Ives is about 30 minutes' drive.
The stay is the main house, Little Cottage, plus The Love Shack, a separate self-contained studio with its own shower room and kitchenette.

Booking and practical
- A £500 good housekeeping bond is pre-authorised on your card seven days before arrival and released if there's no damage or extra cleaning.
- The beds hold 13, but the listing sleeps 12: 10 adults and two children under 16. It doesn't say which beds are for the children; confirm before booking.
- Parking: Two cars, on the front drive, plus room for one more in front of the gate, and a small first-come, first-served car park a few metres away
- Linen and towels: Provided, with one hand towel and one bath towel per guest
- Wi-Fi: Free, but speed isn't guaranteed; the supplier suggests a dongle if you plan to work
- Access: Through a gate and down a path: 17 external steps and one internal flight of stairs in the main house, and seven steps to The Love Shack
- Garden: Not completely enclosed, with a path straight on to the beach
- Children: Bring your own cot linen if you use the travel cot
