About this stay

Perfect for family gatherings or celebrations with friends, Kingfisher Cottage is a large, detached holiday home located just outside Bridgenorth, set in 150 acres of rolling Shropshire countryside, enjoying views across the Severn Valley, the Chelmarsh Reservoir and the RSPB Wildlife and Nature Reserve.

The stylish ground floor living accommodation is open-plan with a spacious and very well-equipped kitchen sociably merging into the dining area with a generous table comfortably seating all guests, and both enjoying views of the terrace and garden through the bi-folding doors. The welcoming sitting room leads off the dining space where the cosy wood burning stove is the focal point of the room.

One of the en-suite bedrooms is also conveniently located on the ground floor, with flexibility to serve as a super-king size double or twin singles. The remaining five bedrooms are upstairs, one of which is a family room with a king-size bed and a single bed. The other four all provide flexible zip and link beds, for a choice of super-king size or twin single beds, and all come with their own en-suite facilities.

Outside, you (and your dogs) can enjoy the south-facing, enclosed terrace and lawn with waterside views, complete with generous garden furniture, sun loungers and a gas barbecue. When the children want to let off steam, all five cottages have use of a large enclosed field with football nets. Or venture further afield on-foot or bikes, with walks, a bridleway and cycle route right on the doorstep.

A walk across the fields will bring you to the village pub, The Bulls Head. The Dinney Farm is surrounded by 150 acres of private farmland between the Severn Valley Steam Railway and Chelmarsh Reservoir with footpaths, the Jack Mytton Way (Britain's longest bridleway at 100 miles) and National Cycle Route 45 pass literally pass the door!

Accredited by the British Horse Society, The Dinney can also offer horse and riders purpose built stables, a tack store, trailer/horsebox parking, a forward luggage service, haylage straw/pre-ordered feed, grazing, hot water and drying facilities.

If it's a special occasion you're celebrating or you just want a complete switch off, make use of the tempting on-site catering service. Or maybe take relaxation to the next level and pre-book a beauty treatment or massage.
