About this property
Brookside Lodge is a Victorian hunting lodge in the small Cotswold village of Laverton, with lawns, roses and fruit trees around the house and 50 acres of countryside beyond, shared with resident cows and horses. The Winchcombe Way is accessed from the bottom of the garden.
The vaulted kitchen diner has a five-oven Aga, a wood-burning stove and a table seating 14. The stone-flagged entrance hall has a wood-burning stove, and down some stairs there's a drawing room with a baby grand piano and an open fire, plus a snug with a big TV that also works as an office. One bedroom and a shower room are on the ground floor, and the other four bedrooms are upstairs.
A walled garden holds the heated outdoor pool, open from May to September, with a pool house, a stone barbecue and a covered table beside it. The old stable block houses a gym, with a boxing ring, a pilates machine and a Peloton bike.
