About this stay
Bleasdale is nestled in the beautiful Lancashire countryside, between the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales, with five off-grid safari tents: Mallard, Curlew, Plover, Snipe and Redshank. Set in the peaceful Forest of Bowland, it's surrounded by rolling fells, working farms and endless views.
Spot local wildlife, explore the nearby River Brock, and enjoy quality time with family and friends in this tranquil setting.
Each of our off-grid safari tents at Lantern & Larks accommodates six guests across three bedrooms. There is one king size room, one twin room and one bunk bedroom. Inside, there is an open plan living area with a spacious kitchen featuring a double gas hob, two cool boxes, a dining table, a comfortable seating area and a wood-burning stove.
Each safari tent also has its own private bathroom facilities with running water, as well as its own outdoor seating area with a firepit and unlimited logs included.
We provide rechargeable lanterns and hot water bottles to keep you cosy in the evenings - though it's always worth packing for a little bit of everything when it comes to British weather.
Bleasdale sits above a private stretch of the River Brock, where children can paddle, build dams, spot sticklebacks and explore the riverbank. A nearby woodland is perfect for den building and adventures, while the open grassy area is ideal for football, kites and outdoor games. Board games are also available to borrow from the site shop.
From your tent, explore the Forest of Bowland on foot or by bike, with peaceful countryside, quiet lanes and stunning views. Cycle to Beacon Fell Country Park or the village of Chipping, home to pubs, cafes and an ice cream shop. Electric bike hire and local horse riding are also available nearby. End the day cooking outdoors, spotting wildlife and enjoying the peaceful surroundings.
Bleasdale is also well placed for exploring both the Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District, with Windermere making a wonderful day trip at any time of year.
